Data Collection

 

Case identification and follow up will be undertaken in the same way at all hospitals (DGH & specialist units).

For cases referred to specialist units from non-specialist (i.e DGH) units, ONLY the non-specialist hospital should record data for the patient.

Ideally, data will be directly uploaded on to REDCap – either by web interface on a computer. In the absence of the above facilities, paper transcription prior to upload on to REDCap is permissible, as long as this is properly disposed of once uploaded.

'Demographics and Diagnosis' and '6 month follow up' can now be entered for all patients when audit registration is obtained. For the Pre-pandemic cohort, the 12 month follow up data can also be entered now.
