Grants and Bursaries

The Scarborough Award 2024

The PSGBI Pump Priming Award has been renamed the Scarborough Award to honour a generous donation made by Charles Mitchell and John Macfie.

The PSGBI is inviting applications for one pump priming grant of up to £10,000 for a single project or parts therein to support research and innovation in all areas of pancreatic conditions within the UK and Ireland.

The criteria will be for a stand-alone project or part of a larger project with a predetermined focus that is an enabler to further work. The grant is  provided for the direct cost of research such as consumables and materials but will not cover the cost of salaries (either full or part time) or Student Fees.

Successful applicants will need to accept the terms of the award, namely, to present their work so far, at the PSGBI meeting the calendar year following their award. This will be without exception.

You will need to be signed in as a member of the PSGB&I in order to access the application form so please log in. If you're not a member and would like to join, please visit our membership page
