HPB Specialist Nurses

The National Hpb Nurse Group (NHpbNG) consists of nurse specialists working with patients with pancreatic disease and all Hepatobiliary cancers (HPB; pancreas, liver and bile ducts)

Our aims are to;

• Promote the role of the nurse specialist in the complex management of patients with pancreatic disease  and HPB cancers
• Develop high quality educational sessions  to meet the needs of the Hpb nurse
• Promote the development of evidence-based practice
• Develop national guidelines and protocols which are consistent, relevant and reliable
• Share information across the different regions
• Provide a register of contact details for members for support and advice
• Work with partners who support patients and their families with pancreatic disease and HPB cancers.
